This complaint was directed to the human rights commission and the inspector general of police by Prasanthika Sriyani resided at 147/M Thelhena Temple Road Moronthuduwa on 18.04.2017.
Ranjan Ekanayaka 30 years old unmarried fisherman is her son. On 15th April 2017 around 3.30pm he was arrested by Wadduwa police and is being detained until now in the said police. She is allowed to see him. He is in the police cell and takes to upstairs very often and investigate.
The police refrains from disclosing the reason for the arrest and detention. There are two pending cases before the court. There are about murder. He was in remand for 8 1/2 years regarding this. She is scared about this three days long detention. She requests to produce him before the court immediately and ensure protection and refrain of fabrication of charges.
